Wrexham Science festival


The dates for the 2010 Wrexham Science Festival have now been announced! The Wrexham Science Festival - the only one of its kind in North Wales - will run from 1st to 10th July 2010.
There will be an opportunity to get a “taste” of the festival from March 25th to April 4th .
This year’s Wrexham Science Festival will feature a full programme of events, designed to appeal to all ages and interests – from events suitable for children to events designed to support business. Earth and the Universe, The Animal World, Human Mind and Body will be some of the themes of the 2010 festival.

The Rise of Women Artists

Until March 14th the works by some of history’s most celebrated women artists are featured in a compelling new exhibition at the Walker Art Gallery.
The Rise of Women Artists charts the progress made by female artists from the 16th century up to the present day.
Containing an extensive range of artworks from the museum’s permanent collection, the exhibition goes on display at the Walker Art Gallery in William Brown Street in Liverpool.

Conwy Seed Fair

 

And for a bit of nature, on the 26th of March it is the start of the Conwy Seed Fair. A 700 year old charter fair, founded by Edward 1st, held in Conwy High Street and Lancaster Square every year. Plant and seed stalls, crafts, local produce and charity stalls. A great opportunity for all ages to sample some delicious local produce in a bustling atmosphere of this historic market.

Big History Weekend

Are you passionate about history and curious to find out about Liverpool? Well, the weekend of the 20th and 21st of March is for you: in collaboration with the BBC you will be able to learn pretty much anything to do with the history of Liverpool, where all local societies, history groups and museums come together for this history fair and conference.
